π₯£ Ingredients (Serves 3β4)
- 1 cup yellow moong dal (dhuli moong dal)
- 1 green chilli
- 1 inch ginger
- Salt to taste
- ΒΌ tsp turmeric
- Β½ tsp cumin seeds
- Water (for grinding)
For vegetables (finely chopped):
- ΒΌ cup onion
- ΒΌ cup grated carrot
- ΒΌ cup capsicum
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves
- Optional: grated paneer
Oil or ghee for cooking
π©βπ³ Method
- Soak dal β Wash and soak moong dal for 3β4 hours.
- Grind β Drain and grind with ginger, green chilli, turmeric, salt, and little water into a smooth batter (like dosa batter but slightly thicker).
- Add cumin β Mix cumin seeds into the batter.
- Prepare cheela
- Heat a non-stick pan.
- Pour a ladle of batter and spread gently in circular motion.
- Sprinkle chopped vegetables on top and press lightly.
- Drizzle a few drops of oil around edges.
- Cook β Cook on medium flame until golden, flip and cook other side.
- Serve hot.
